Japanese Auto Parts Maker, Takata Airbags, Find Themselves In Deep Water

World wide recalls on many vehicles, including the likes of BMW, Toyota, Mazda, Lexus, Subaru, Tesla and McLaren, have all had recalls on the Takata airbags that were installed in some of these vehicles.

Many deaths related to faulty airbags have been reported, as well as serious injuries from airbags after crashes.

The airbags can become lethal by mis-deploying and firing dangerous metal shards at the car's occupants.

Motor manufacturers are replacing them with water absorbing, chemically designed airbags, which might also need to be replaced after six years, due to degrading over time.

This Japanese company, Takata, has filed for bankruptcy protection in the USA and Japan, due to the high amount of liability it finds itself in, now and in the future.

A lesson we can learn from this is, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

The same thing applies to the installation of Smash and Grab window tint to motor vehicles.

The consumer should deal with a reputable company that can stand behind their products, should there be a recall or failure for any reason.

Let the buyer beware.
